your Santa awaits

i’ve got the whiskers and saggy hat
a pillow to augment the paunch

over the thermals a fire brigade suit
and leather boots for added raunch

so come My Queen let’s engage
beneath the mistletoe

my lap’s your throne my heart your slave
my arms your wrap and bow

to everyone who celebrates Christmas:

Merry Christmas

to everyone who has leave:

Happy Holidays

and to One and All

A Safe, Healthy and Prosperous New Year

…see you in january…

    • A few hours ago i had an email from an old pagan friend of mine who has been reading the comments today and regarding this one she wrote, “It has to be the closest we come to ultimate delusion when one fictional character creates another fictional character.”
      She’s good. lol

  1. Lovely these letters and warm as well.
I don’t like Christmas, for some reasons, I’ll stay with a friend of mine and her children, anyway…. this is no reason not to wish you and family all the best, not these days, but always….Till next year!!!!!!!!

  2. Your eight lines are a delight.
Have a restful break, you have more than earned it, Poet.

Winnie and myself wish you every happiness.

  3. Thank you for the lovely gift of a poem, John.
    Christmas spirit glows
    Amid greenery and bows
    To honor Christ’s birth
Merry Christmas to you and yours and all the happiness of the season.

  4. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year John! Don’t know if you will get this before the New Year as it sounds like you’re taking a brief break from WordPress, but I hope whenever you get a chance to watch it, it is found amusing!

    Best wishes as always!

  5. Hi John, Haven’t heard a peep from you in ages. Are you actually taking a vacation from writing? I hope to lure you back by asking you to participate in a collaborative poem. Laura M. has started it, I’ve written the second stanza and if you choose to participate, the next stanza is yours to take us where you will. Please go here for an explanation of the form:
Please write your third stanza as a comment, and I’ll add it to the poem when I receive it. If you wish, suggest the next poet you’d like to add to the poem. You can either invite this person and send him/her a link to my post or send me his/her name and email or blog address and I’ll invite him/her.
If I don’t hear from you in a few days, I’ll take it you are not interested in participating, but I hope you do. Happy New Year, Judy.

  6. Brilliant as always 🙂
PS: I have been away from WordPress but now I am back. I hope, I keep on getting you critical creative input on my creations as well. Wishing you a very happy and prosperous 2015 🙂

    • I hope your Christmas was a peaceful and loving time for you
