Thank you, Bruce.
Yes, it’s a real word – celestial or heavenly..
i used it in the very first poem i had published
some fifty years ago and have never used it since..till today.
Wonderful haiku John! Reminded me of one of the few sonnets by Shakespeare I have actually read!
“Sonnet 24”
by William Shakespeare
Mine eye hath played the painter and hath stelled
Thy beauty’s form in table of my heart;
My body is the frame wherein ’tis held,
And perspective it is best painter’s art.
For through the painter must you see his skill
To find where your true image pictured lies,
Which in my bosom’s shop is hanging still,
That hath his windows glazèd with thine eyes.
Now see what good turns eyes for eyes have done:
Mine eyes have drawn thy shape, and thine for me
Are windows to my breast, where-through the sun
Delights to peep, to gaze therein on thee.
Yet eyes this cunning want to grace their art:
They draw but what they see, know not the heart.
Thank You, Ry.
The sonnets have always meant a lot to me and if Shakespeare had produced no other works than them they alone would place him among the greats.
John – this is brilliant – You made refresh my memory to Macbeth – Shakespeare!
There is a saying “Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.
I like the reflection of a reflection image; very positive and also imaginative — you do good work, John! Thanks for sharing.
