Friends:
I’m sorry I’m not here much these days. Fact is, I just can’t cope with more than 200 emails/blogs every day, I just can’t.
A nasty stomach flu turned nastier with complications and after three falls in quick succession I was admitted to hospital where my blood pressure was stabilised and I was rehydrated. I was and am listed as a fall risk so now I’m the proud possessor of a walking frame. Yippee!
Anyway, I intend going on, I have no choice. My annual sub to WordPress is due soon and I will renew for another year, and try to be here from time to time.
Despite the setbacks I want to let you know I’ve published three more books since ‘natural selection’ and assure you (modestly) they make good reading. Have a look when you get a minute.

I am sorry to hear about your health issues. You’re a strong man. You are in my Thoughts and prayers.
Congratulations on publishing all your books.
Grace, peace and Blessings.
I have missed you and am sorry to hear about the issues you are dealing with. Congratulations on your published works. I will definitely look into those! Sending well wishes and love. ❤️
I’m sorry to hear about your health issues, John. I hope you decide to keep this page going, I do enjoy visiting here. I will take a look at your books as well. I hope your health improves and strength and balance return. I still have the hospital tag that says “Fall Risk” – I guess it’s better than some labels, but it wasn’t one I aspired to, even for a little while.
Hello John, So sorry to hear about your health problems and hope you will soon be fully recovered. Accidents by falls take a time to heal. Its quite strange because I also recently had two falls, one down the stairs, but fortunately didn’t break anything. The second was while walking the dog I tripped and fell landing on my face. That really unnerved me and I have only just regained confidence for walking again. Left side of my face badly bruised with swollen closed eye. You can imagine the remarks my partner was having. Anyway congratulations on the publishing of your books you have a strong will but take it easy for a while anyway. By the way thanks for visiting and the likes on my blog.
Sorry to hear of your illness. I’m reading your three new books now. Of Land, Sea and Sky is interesting reading. You’ve led a fascinating life. Lucky for us you carried along your sense of humor and wit with you. By the way, I carry around a cane, now, myself. Not ideal, but it’s better than looking up from the floor. Get well soon, Brother John!

John l am so sorry to hear of your health problems you will be in my thoughts and prayers and God be with you now and always in my 🙏’s Amen
John, here’s sending you comforting and healing hugs. I’m sorry to hear about your situation. Actually, I can relate somewhat. You must take care of you.
I have a walker – have for many years now. Be sure to stand up straight within the frame, or you’ll find yourself bent over before you realize what’s happened. Getting back from that is tough. Sorry about the other health problems – blog when you can.
Great about the books!
So glad to hear from you, John, and my deepest sympathies on your health problems. Take care of yourself – we will be here for you! I’m glad to hear you are coping with everything – getting old is a real b—h. I’m trying to manage with shoulder and back issues – need to spend more time in the gym, but I like being up and about and doing stuff.
Good news about the books!
Be well, my friend!
Congrats, my friend, on your books, but be sure to take of yourself. You know your fans, like me, will always be here for you!!
Thinking of you, John. I have missed you. Congratulations on the books. You can be sure I’ll be checking them out. Get well soon. Sending big hugs and lots of love. ❤
Have been wondering what happened to you, John. So very sorry everything ganged up on you. Hope you will feel better. It is hard looking at so many emails and all when you are feeling ill, whether mentally or physically. So sorry, too, about the walker. It is hard facing these limitations. Someone said once how in old age life takes back things. It certainly does. Will definitely look into your books. Congratulations on them and congratulations on renewing Word Press. I wasn’t going to but decided to keep it up somehow. Blessings of the season to you, John. May you find renewed strength!! Much love, Ellen ❤
P.S. John just put “Of Land, Sea and Sky” in the cart at Amazon for a Christmas present for hubby (I think he’ll really like it) and for me. Now you get well!!
Wishing you all the best! Take care.
Sending you my best wishes John.
John, so sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope you find your strength and balance again. Thank you so much for sharing your books. I’ll check it out! Hugs to you xoxo
I know exactly how you feel. At 75 have had two bad falls—broken shoulder in one and head injury in the other. Recovering but still use my shiny red rollator for longer walks. But have managed the finish the first draft of my third novel. Gotta keep going! My best to you. I’m going to look over your books. Have always loved your poetry.
I’m sorry to hear about the flu and then the falls. I wish you all the best John.
Take care, dear John. Praying for your speedy recovery. Congratulations on your books.
Are they on Kindle?
Best always,
Nimi
Sorry to hear about your falls. Positive thoughts and well wishes coming your way. Congratulations on your books 🙂
John, my blessings to you during such a challenging time. Be well, persevere and be happy always. Life does bring great challenge of which I am no stranger. “The grass is always greener over the hill…”.
Love and best wishes always,
Don
John – so sorry to hear about your health problems. Hope you are on the mend.
I couldn’t find the house, and the man who was supposed to help me just didn’t show up. I took pictures of the drive ( I hope it was the right one) and decided to leave it all until January, which is now 🙂 I am going to contact the man again and hopefully he will show me the house – or whatever is left of it after the fire. You can email me with any questions and get a few pictures 🙂 In my latest blog post, there is an autumn picture – I took it on the road along the Mount Juliet wall. Email address is inesemj@gmail.com
Stay well
Hard to press like, John…hope that you are feeling much better and that your health is restored! Congrats on the publishing. Sending good thoughts for a New Year…may it be one that brings you much happiness. ❤
Good to hear from you. Wishing you best.
